Pantha du Prince - ‘Satellite Snyper’
Hendrick Weber, better known still under his moniker of Pantha du Prince, is currently out doing shows with Four Tet in the UK as his third LP laps up some well deserved acclaim, in the meantime.
It’s called ‘Black Noise’, out last month on Rough Trade. But black noise it isn’t, cause that would just be completely ridiculous, wouldn’t it? The track ‘Stick It To My Side’ should be the chosen entry point for most, bridging the gap between minimal and pop with the help of Panda Bear of Animal Collective fame.
Elsewhere, though, across the sprawling landscape and into more uncharted territory (see Satellite Snyper), Pantha delves that bit deeper and gives us the most rewarding moments on the record.
