Menomena - ‘Wet and Rusting’
You could argue that a records to years ratio of 3:7 isn’t the statistic ever to hold as a band. Menomena are running Yndi Halda close with that one. But I would rather them lock themselves away for a year or two, as I imagine all artists to, rather than doing a ‘Bloc Party’ and pushing out albums in consecutive years.

I’m pretty excited about the new Menomena record. All we have are rumours as of yet, but what we’re hearing is that it’s ‘finished’ and that’s just about where the talk ends. Probably just enough time to dig out, dust off and play their three previous LPs to death, then. The above is taken from their 2007 effort ‘Friend and Foe’, which is a brilliantly infectious how-to concerning experimental and modular rock. For fans of TV On The Radio, Yeasayer and just about anything. Really, it’s hard not to be a fan.
