We Followed Tigers - ‘I Love The Smell Of An Autumn Forest Fire’
We Followed Tigers is a math rock/post-hardcore trio from California which, six years ago, put out its second and latest EP ‘So Much For Summer’. Between then and now, the bassist has been away studying over on the East Coast, meaning progress concerning WFT has been understandably slow. Though they’ve not called an end to things just yet as far as I can tell. And it’s surprising how many people haven’t forgotten about them.

It’s not all that hard to work out why. Both the aforementioned EP and 2003 debut ‘And Then We Were Killed’ are great pieces of work, sounding somewhere in between toe (Japanese, not American post-rock) and early Don Caballero. If that comparison doesn’t do it for you then nowt will surely. Seriously though, this band is outstanding, you should get over to their myspace.
