Meneguar - ‘Bury a Flower’
I recently got into a band called Meneguar. They’re from NYC, of all places. More specifically, their second record ‘Strangers In Our House’. Their sound is not completely remote from that of the bleeding ace Algernon Cadwallader.
Since then, they’ve signed to Woodsist and released third LP ‘The In Hour’ which pretty much follows suit. Each are full of shouty choruses and angular lo-fi melodies, demanding you singalong whilst wishing you took the opportunity to learn guitar when you were younger. Sigh.
