Yeasayer - ‘I Remember’
So unless you’ve had a lack of internet or alternatively, you’ve failed to access a single music blog for the last month or so gone, you’ll have heard about the new Yeasayer, ‘Ambling Alp’, right? Superb it is. You can download it free here.
‘Odd Blood’ is the upcoming record on which it features, due in February, which leaked a couple of days ago. If you’ve chosen to abstain thus far then good on you, but just in case the thought has crossed your mind, it really is something else. The above track will back me up on my claim, I’m sure. Their music draws upon so many styles including folk, electronica and ambient, yet it’s essentially a pop record. This’ll take some beating in 2010 I would think, which is something I didn’t think I would be saying in a hurry after their debut never really clicked with me. Time to dig it out again I’m thinking, once I can turn this off.
