From Monument To Masses - ‘Beyond Good & Elvis’
From Monument To Masses are a post-rock band, first and foremost, and an awesome one at that. Though, after enlisting the services of Minus The Bear keyboardist and engineer Matt Bayles, the San Francisco based trio take on a relatively new direction in the shape of their third and most musically daring record to date, ‘On Little Known Frequencies’.
Drawing upon a wide range of influences, FMTM remain firmly on top of their game, showing no signs of wearing the path thin just yet and without sacrificing any of that progression element. Armed with many a fiddly guitar line and political spoken work samples aplenty in accompaniment, the band are sure to turn the most astute heads in and amongst post-rock genre, breathing new life into a moniker which was previously feared finished after one member’s relocation cross country in 2006.
