Minnaars - ‘Essay Essay Essay’
So, I’m back, in case you had noticed I was ever gone. A superb weekend was had by all concerned it seems. Though between each of the thirty sets I had the pleasure of seeing during the four days, I can’t really see past Radiohead for the coveted act of the festival crown. I did thoroughly enjoy, however, catching a performance from Leicestershire fivesome Minnaars over on the BBC Introducing stage.
My initial train of thought went something along the lines of, ‘hey, this sounds like ¡Forward, Russia!’, thus I wasn’t too surprised to learn that their debut EP was produced by the aforementioned group’s guitarist, Tom Woodhead.
