Japandroids - ‘Wet Hair’
At this point, you would be forgiven for sarcastically thinking ‘great, another lo-fi punk outfit sailing across the Atlantic aboard good ship Pitchfork Acclaim’. Though be sure not to write this British Columbian two piece off just yet.
My initial thoughts as new record ‘Post-Nothing’ recieved its first play from me were of some sort of a No Age and gone but never forgotten countrymen Death From Above 1979 lovechild. Sounds like my cup of tea, hope it’s yours too. In any case, I’ll depart, leaving you with a personal highlight from the first listen for you to make your own mind up by.
