Bombay Bicycle Club - ‘Magnet’
It’s been a long time coming for North Londoners, the BBC. Following three years since their formation, a string of headline tours and two cracking EPs, debut long player ‘I Had The Blues But Shook Them Loose’ finally graced for the first time all good record stores, along with some rubbish ones too, this July.

They’ve at last clinched a deal with Island after the two self released EPs, as well as drafting in the Arctic Monkeys’ debut producer Jim Abiss for the recording stages. Familiar faces such as ‘Cancel On Me’ and ‘The Hill’ make the cut but it’s the more unknown numbers, most notably ‘Magnet’ and ‘Always Like This’, which turn heads, offering a glimpse of fresh post-punk influences and paving the way for greater things if they can hang around for long enough.
