The Virginia based Gifts From Enola are not your conventional post-rock five piece, creating a blend of experimental elements, heavy rock surges and soothing ambient scenes. Earlier this month saw the release of second LP ‘From Fathoms’, discounting the 2008 split with the immense you.may.die.in.the.desert (another band to be eyed in the NFWOT crosshairs shortly, boy do we treat you regulars well).
The outcome is an hour of staggering work musically and techically, posing as yet another promising contender to make the most respectable end of year record lists going.
